Connection Instructions

For Minecraft Java Edition:

  1. Open Minecraft: Java Edition and go to the Multiplayer menu.
  2. Click Add Server.
  3. Enter the following details:
  4. Click Done and join the server!

For Minecraft Bedrock Edition (Windows, Mobile, Xbox, PlayStation):

  1. Open Minecraft and go to Play.
  2. Click on Servers and scroll to the bottom.
  3. Click Add Server.
  4. Enter the following details:
  5. Click Save and join the server!

For Nintendo Switch:

Nintendo doesn't allow the Switch to connect to custom servers. To work around this, we use a DNS trick to repoint the servers it does list to Elaine's world. This will send all DNS requests for Minecraft servers to Elaine's server, so we recommend resetting your DNS settings back to automatic when you're done.

  1. You need both a Microsoft/Minecraft account and a Nintendo account to use online play.
  2. To configure Elaine's server on the Switch, go to: System Settings > Internet > Internet Settings.
  3. Click on the network you're using and select Change Settings.
  4. Set DNS Settings to Manual and enter:
  5. Now open Minecraft and go to Play.
  6. Navigate to the Servers tab.
  7. Find any of the servers that have a description of Elaine's World and connect.
